Director, Sea Logistics Healthcare - North America

Our Jersey City branch is looking for a new Director, Sea Logistics Healthcare - North America to join our Sea Logistics team.

Your Role

The Director, Sea Logistics Healthcare – North America is the focal point for all Healthcare Seafreight activities in the respective Kuehne+Nagel region. You will support the Healthcare Vertical growth in the region by providing technical Reefer expertise and general Seafreight knowledge, support during important customer meetings and audits, participate in RFQ processes with best practice sharing and strategic support. As part of the global Sea Logistics Healthcare expertise team, you will contribute to further building regional GxP structures. You will report to the Regional Seafreight Reefer Manager with a dotted line to the Global Seafreight Reefer Manager.

Your Responsibilities

• Implement product developments and enhancements to globally agreed timescales/roll-out plan
• Implementation and support of the Kuehne+Nagel HealthChain product portfolio
• Support Product lead Healthcare Sea Logistics through the communication of current issues and continuous improvement opportunities identified at the regional level.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Vertical on business development and growth
• Host and support customer workshops to foster customer collaboration and showcase Kuehne+Nagel knowledge and commitment to the Healthcare industry
• This regional role will require travel, mainly within the region
• Support sales initiatives and sales staff in gaining or retaining Healthcare clients
• Develop regional GxP standards according to Kuehne+Nagel global standards and support GxP compliance of teams/stations in the region
• Within own sphere analyze and collect competition - and market data as well as customer - and Kuehne+Nagel internal feedback to propose HealthChain continuous improvement proposals to the global product team
• Support sea logistics operations teams in industry-related questions/requirements (point of escalation)
• Perform necessary training to internal operations and sales staff, and customers

Your Skills And Experiences

• Training experience
• Complete QSHE GxP trainings
• Fluent in English – one additional language is an advantage
• Knowledge of GDP /GMP
• Experience in Seafreight Reefer business and minimum 5 years working experience in the Seafreight industry
• Excellent knowledge of healthcare supply chain needs
