We are looking for a Director of HR to join High 5 Games to lead both operational and strategic HR functions utilizing HR best practices and proper business acumen. They will work closely with business team leaders to support needs and reach organizational goals.
This individual will onsite at our Mahwah, NJ office once a week but otherwise remote.
Responsibilities:
- Onboarding and offboarding employees to ensure compliance and ease of transition.
- Ensuring and updating documentation and proper records/paperwork for all employees in HRIS, e-cabinets, shared drives, etc.
- Handling all employee/workplace relations issues in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Enhance and build upon culture and engagement.
- Maintaining and regularly improving compensation and benefits programs.
- Supervising payroll and all aspect of compensation and benefits
- Rolling out performance reviews and evaluating any appropriate promotions, salary changes, bonuses, etc.
- Overseeing recruitment process from hiring requests through the offer stages.
- Have a service-oriented approach for all employees with all tiers/aspects of HR support.
- Leading a team of HR professionals and other staff as necessary.
- Working with outside vendors/agencies.
- Building out the company’s learning, development, and training.
- Maintaining and refining organizational structure including succession planning with other Department heads.
Qualifications:
- Must be knowledgeable in employment laws and HR best practices.
- Results-oriented, high energy, and comfortable in tackling varied projects with conjunction with individuals with diverse personalities and subject matter expertise.
- Must have a degree in Human Resources, Business Management, I/O Psychology, or a related field of study.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite (or similar HRIS systems).
- Ability to identify, analyze, and develop solutions to address both HR and business needs overall.
- Have 7+ years of Generalist experience including 2+ years of managerial experience.
- Strong project management in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong oral and written communication.
