Job Description


The Facilities Operations Manager North America is responsible for leading facility management teams across the US and Canada. They will partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all facilities operate effectively.


  • Planning and coordinating all installations and refurbishments
  • Preparing documents to put out for tenders for facility maintenance;
  • Liaise with suppliers and be responsible for supplier engagement.
  • Ensure internal Facility Management operates effectively.
  • Keep financial and non-financial records
  • Managing and leading change to ensure minimum disruption to core EG business.
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and dealing with the consequences.
  • Investigating availability and suitability of options for new premises
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
  • Plans, controls necessary resources and their rational use.
  • Implementing and ensuring centralized Facility maintenance operation standards are applied in all EG facilities.
  • Manage contract renewals and record SLA’s etc.
  • Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives
  • Calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money;
  • Lead Facility management teams in North America to support all Facility Management operations.
  • Auditing existing locations and participating in new facilities construction planning in North America
  • Plans, reviews Facility maintenance budget, perfoms budget control actions
  • Inspecting buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
  • Represent enterprise in relationship with other legal entities and State institutions.
  • Recruits, trains and supervise Facility management teams in different EG North America locations.
  • Supervising and coordinating the work of contractors
  • Directing, coordinating and planning essential central services such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning supply, water supply, electricity supply, maintenance of building’s technical systems, waste disposal.


Qualifications


  • Basic knowledge in Project management.
  • Execution of job duties requires higher education in technical field (Property management, Mechanical engineering, Mechatronics engineering, Electrical engineering)
  • A minimum 3 years experience in the field of Facility/Property Management
  • Ability to record, and organize effectively
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to get on with a wide range of people.
  • Excellent knowledge of English.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly
  • Understanding and ability to read technical drawings, procedures, manufacturer’s manuals etc.
