Job Description
Our Director of Recruiting Operations is the foundation of the Recruiting team: responsible for all things related to enablement programs, data, tools, process, documentation, and collaboratively empowering the Recruiting team to do their best work. We’re looking for an innovative and data-driven Recruiting Operations leader who will lead the team through change, streamline our Recruiting processes, remove operational roadblocks, and identify and promote strategies and behaviors that bring us the highest quality candidates. This leader is passionate about recruiting and will leverage strategic and operational abilities to develop, implement, and drive programs to ensure that we hire top talent to join Discord.


What you'll be doing


  • Determining team and resource requirements to support your strategy and build out the recruiting operations team, as appropriate (including navigating change management, where applicable)
  • Designing and implementing a system of metrics and analytics to position the recruiting team and business to make informed decisions as we grow
  • Leading the core global operational processes for the TA team to ensure we achieve hiring success across the organization


What you should have


  • Scaling processes and programs such as Talent Brand, University Recruiting, Interviewer/HM training, Employee Referrals, and Onboarding
  • Building (and rebuilding) operational systems, processes, and capabilities to support successful scaling in a high-growth global organization
  • Analytical and data driven mindset: you know all the tools and systems to influence and and lead change
  • Experience being a player/coach: you don’t mind getting your hands dirty and owning some of the hard things as you build your team
  • Establishing cross-functional partnerships with Finance, HR, and Analytics
  • Flexibility: you are always looking for new ways to approach existing processes and understand that leadership requires patience and empathy
  • Experience in being a strategic planner who looks around corners to steer headcount planning, capacity modeling, and budgeting
  • Experience in change with an informed POV who can effectively lead the team through growth
  • Leading teams through ambiguity and change
  • Developing strong relationships across recruiting teams and cross functional partners


The US base salary range for this full-time position is $209,000 to $230,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
