About The Role


We are seeking a strategic, data driven leader with strong communication skills to help build the success of our Strategy, Growth, and Strategic Initiatives team within Zillow Home Loans (ZHL). Zillow Group’s lending platform, ZHL, is still in its early stages, providing a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing, well-resourced group and apply your mortgage operational expertise in a brand-new arena. You will lead a passionate team that is revolutionizing the mortgage industry. We believe in autonomy and adapting quickly, so self-motivation and the energy to blaze trails is a must-have for this role.


You Will Get To:


  • Partner with cross-functional teams across Zillow group to shape strategy, pilots and programs, Premier Agent partner engagement, market and partner success, and product.
  • Lead a team of program and project managers providing oversight across all of ZHLs cross-sell programs. Establish a comprehensive view of the cohesive customer/agent experience including all components, opportunities, and dependencies.
  • Implement Zillow Group’s mortgage vision and strategy to grow Zillow’s purchase origination business. Design, optimize and drive programs for an integrated transaction that grows market share.
  • Develop and implement rapid ‘test-and-learn’ pilots to test new strategies and tactics to quickly scale up winning models. Evaluate takeaways and customer/agent/operator struggles to create a strategic plan to optimize existing programs.
  • Ensure data is used to create clarity, brought to life through visualization and is used to inform and drive mortgage decisions
  • Use your in-depth knowledge of the customer/agent experience and ZHL business to evaluate program data and partner with primary stakeholders and executive leadership to influence strategic decisions on program performance and new initiatives.
  • Aggregate and prioritize requests for ZHL action/impact review related to cross-sell.
  • Evaluate market and partner performance to highlight which partners/markets are successfully adopting ZHL and where we have opportunities. Shape and execute development plans for partners and ZHL to address opportunities.
  • Communicate team priorities, drive completion and provide updates on progress to multiple cross functional partners.
  • Maintain up-to-date viewpoint and data on consumer needs and trends, industry and regulatory trends, and competitors and incorporate findings into program optimizations.


This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.


In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $181,000.00 - $289,100.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.


In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.


Who you are


  • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel and/or Google G Suite
  • Outstanding at collaborating, building positive relationships, and advancing business goals
  • Results oriented leader with 7+ years of demonstrated ability in leading teams, program management, project management, strategy and execution
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
  • Organized, independent and adaptable multi-tasker who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with contending projects and priorities
  • Excellent at facilitating meetings and communicating complex findings and results to multiple stakeholders
  • May require 25% - 30% travel annually
  • Ability to plan and execute with and through people is critical to success
  • Self-starter with exceptional critical thinking, analytical and communication skills who can lead and influence teams outside of their direct reporting chain.
  • 5+ years of mortgage experience required
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with strong executive presence
