Director Of Recruiting - International Logistics

Orion Solutions Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced International Logistics Recruiter to join our team. Previous recruiting experience is not required – expertise in international shipping is critical. The successful candidate will be responsible for client development and sourcing and recruiting top talent for middle management through executive level roles within the international freight forwarding, NVOCC, steamship line, and international shipping industries, with a particular focus on sales roles.

Again, previous recruiting experience is not required, but the candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the international shipping industry and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have an outstanding professional reputation and network.

Range: $65K -$85K + Bonus

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a strong network of industry professionals, both locally and internationally, to identify potential candidates for open roles.
• Conduct full cycle recruiting activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and presenting top talent to hiring managers within the international freight forwarding industry.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop job descriptions and recruitment plans that align with business objectives.
• Participate in industry events, conferences, and job fairs to increase company visibility and build relationships with potential candidates and clients.
• Develop and implement creative recruitment strategies to attract top talent, including utilizing social media, job boards, and other recruiting tools.
• Develop clients requiring international shipping talent, especially sales talent.
• Manage candidate relationships throughout the recruiting process, including providing regular updates on job status and communicating offers and rejections.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
• Current and/or prior experience working for one or more international freight forwarders is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to source, attract, and recruit top talent for middle management through executive level roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong understanding of the international freight forwarding industry, including industry trends, competitors, and job market dynamics.
• Strong knowledge of and connections in the international freight forwarding and shipping industry.
• A well-developed network of international logistics (air and/or ocean) industry professionals.
