About the Director of Logistics position:
$105,000 – $130,200 is the salary range for this position. It represents only a portion of the overall package, which includes an annual bonus program. There is flexibility based on the candidate's qualifications.

A typical day for the Director of Logistics will include the following responsibilities:
- Develop receiving, storage and distribution strategy for the organization
- Develop plans to maximize each distribution facility to fulfill company objectives, e.g., quick turn program, will call, plumbing/small parts inventory requirements
- Keeps track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
- Communicate goals, expectations, and feedback on team and individual performance
- Complies with and champions all safety and regulatory requirements
- Lead execution of overall strategy, metrics and processes to optimize logistics network and operations
- Work strategically across departments to keep Logistics team informed of upcoming changes and to proactively anticipate changes within the logistics department
- Define and monitor customer service key performance indicators
- Evaluate individual performance and productivity
- Motivate, coach, and mentor a team of 5-8 Logistics Managers to ensure personal growth and career development
- Manage departmental sub-functions within the broader logistics team, e.g., receiving, pick/pack, shipping, returns
- Use analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems and achieve high performance while optimizing costs
- Establish quality auditing processes to monitor internal and external performance to drive continuous improvement

There are a few skills and requirements youshould have to be successful:
- Effective decision making
- Excellent communication; including verbal, written, and listening skills
- Bachelors degree preferred
- 8+ years of managerial experience working in a logistics-related field, required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
You will be a step ahead if you have:
- Experience with GP, Business Central and CRM
- Experience as a Warehouse or Logistics Director
What we offer:
This is a full-time position, reporting to the Senior Director of Operations.This role is in a warehouse environment and requires long hours of standing and moving. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, computer programs, and smartphones as well as heavy machinery.
Our Logistics team typically works Monday through Friday daytime shifts. There may be occasional evening and weekend work to meet peak fluctuations. This role requires up to 50% travel to our various Distribution Centers and HQ.
