Job Description
Baylor Trucking, a subsidiary of Werner Enterprises, is recruiting for a Director of Driver Recruiting.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintains safe, clean, and orderly work place
  • Strives for continuous improvement in all aspects of the recruiting effort
  • Responsible for marketing activities to enhance Recruiting leads
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Assigns departmental personnel to a position that is clearly defined as to its responsibilities and requirements
  • Oversees the Recruiting Department to hire safe and professional drivers per company guidelines
  • Directly involved in the development of both short and long-term strategic driver recruiting plans
  • Confers with other managers & supervisors to identify driver qualifications, duties and expectations
  • Manages Driver Retention efforts for the organization and coordinates with other departments to resolve and solve Professional Driver Needs
  • Hires and trains all Company Recruiters
  • Reviews and reports on Marketing budget for Recruiting department
  • Coordinates the application workflow process to be submitted to Director of Safety for final hiring approval
  • Provides opportunities for those under his/her supervision to develop the full potential of their individual skills and abilities
  • Works closely with Safety, Operations and Marketing to accomplish company goals
Qualifications:
  • Must be a Team player, able to work successfully with other Managers, Directors, and Executive Level Contributors.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required
  • Must be able to motivate others to achieve goals and maintain excellence
  • Must possess the analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to perform the job
  • Must be self-motivated with strong initiative
  • Must possess an excellent reasoning ability.
