Job Description
Lightmatter is a photonic computer and interconnect company redefining what computers and human beings are capable of by building the engines that will power discoveries and drive progress in a sustainable way. With modern human progress relying heavily on computers, the world has hit a dead end with traditional transistor-based approaches, and the prospect of continuous data center build outs is an environmental nightmare. Lightmatter has created solutions in photonic computing and interconnect: using photons instead of electrons to enable continued performance scaling with ultra-high efficiency unbridled by the slowing of Moore and Dennard trends.
We are hiring a Director of Product Management and Marketing for AI/ML and Software, in this executive role you will be responsible for leading our product definition, rollout, and marketing to drive design wins with top semiconductor and cloud vendors in the industry for our AI/ML solutions including the software tools, models, and development frameworks.
Reporting directly to the VP of Product you will be working with engineering, sales, operations, finance, and executive team to accelerate the adoption of Lightmatter products in segment-defining categories.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Manage the roll-out of the products to lead customers and product lifecycle management through the development process all the way to and through the production phases
  • AI/ML model support
  • Brief top industry press, analysts, and investors relative to Lightmatter product strategies, competitive advantages, and other industry trends.
  • Associated ecosystem solutions for models, SW, and development tools.
  • Develop high quality, high-value outbound marketing and product technical collaterals in conjunction with marketing and technical documentation teams
  • Represent Lightmatter at key industry forums and speaking events as a corporate leader and subject matter expert
  • Develop key partnerships with primary industry suppliers of AI/ML models
  • Complete the detailed requirements definition and solution offering for Lightmatter Software offerings as well as AI/ML solutions. These include:
  • Along with sales, pursue and win key customers by producing collaterals and articulating key advantages and value propositions of Lightmatter products through detailed customer proposals
  • Develop pricing guidelines, margin analysis, and forecasts establishing competitiveness and profitability of Lightmatter products in support of corporate financial goals and revenue planning
  • Passage and Envise software development kits
Requirements
  • 10+ years in product management, product marketing, applications engineering roles driving high-complexity semiconductor products, software tools to volume production
  • Strong knowledge of AI/ML software tools and industry models
  • Experience building and owning budgets, forecasts, and providing strategic insight based on key performance metrics
  • Experience hiring and building a team
  • Bachelor’s in Computer/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or related engineering field, MS/MBA is a plus
  • 10+ years of experience with semiconductor solution marketing is a must
  • Experience driving products through the full development cycle from business case/definition, through development, design-in, production, and EOL cycles
  • Must have demonstrated at least three years of leadership experience
  • Broad knowledge of the semiconductor and datacenter industry vendor space especially as it relates to AI/ML acceleration and solutions based upon GPU’s and other AI accelerators

Base Compensation Range: $270,000 to $285,000. In accordance with the Colorado, California and New York law, the range provided is Lightmatter's reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. Actual pay will be based on several factors including work experience, location and education.
