About The Job:
CultureWorx (a POWERS Company) [www.thepowerscompany.com] is seeking a confident and driven Director of Product Development to join our dynamic team and help scale the software technology division of our growing business. As the Director of Product Development, you will serve a dual role as a Sr. Software Developer and Project Manager to facilitate the oversight and execution of the design, development, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of new and existing software tools that support our Operational and Culture Performance Improvement lines of business.
As part of this role, you will lead a technical development team while working closely with third-party software design and development partners, as needed. You will report to the Chief Culture Officer at POWERS who is also serving as the transitioning CEO at CultureWorx.
What You’ll Do Here:
- Develop knowledge of digital learning tools and integrate proprietary learning and development methodologies with new or existing software products
- Research, design, implement, and manage software programs
- Apply Agile (or equivalent) Project Management methodologies to monitor and manage development projects
- Assimilate and manage a technical team to facilitate the execution of new project builds and customizations – from the conceptualization phase to the design, build, test, and launch of an MVP
- Identify areas for UI/UX improvements in existing software programs and subsequently develop modifications
- Write and implement efficient code
- Help client partners leverage technology to facilitate frontline leadership training and development that advance the operational systems and processes
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of organizational leadership and culture performance management software programs and SaaS platforms
- Test and evaluate new and innovative programs
- Build responsive websites and applications, from backend systems to complex interactive front-end user interfaces
- Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to ensure software solutions support continuous improvement of organizational and leadership performance

You have:
- Expert PHP experience
- Strong Experience with an MVC framework (preferably Laravel)
- 5+ years of web development experience
- A Developer Certification – AWS, CSTE, CSQA, or related certificate
- The ability to receive and incorporate feedback into development work
- General understanding of Corporate Operations, Manufacturing, Distribution, and Production and other related processes
- Communications and presentations skills
- Expert JavaScript experience
- Strong relationship management skills
- Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies
- Industry experience in collaborating with a team of developers (in-house or third-party)
- Experience with either React, Vue, or Angular
- Experience with SaaS or LESS
- 5+ years serving in a leadership role (people- and project-focused)
- Strong Experience with Node.js, Swift/iOS/Flutter, Java/Android, and/or WordPress
- Direct supervision, management, or leadership responsibilities
- Project management experience
- Demonstrated impact on delivering incredible user experiences in a challenging environment
- Strong ability to manage, prioritize, and organize multiple tasks
Bonus if you:
- Has a PMP Certification (or associated certificate) from an accredited program / institution
- Have familiarity with E-Learning tools (i.e., Angel, Moodle, Adobe Captivate, Tegrity, Articulate Rapid E-Learning Studio, eLearning Management Systems, Adobe Illustrator, etc. as well as Microsoft Office products, Cisco WebEx)
- Have an advanced degree in software engineering, business, or related field
- Have familiarity with Operations Management and OEE tools (i.e., Tulip, Raven, MaintainX, etc.)

Other Details:
