3Rd Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Manhattan College, an NCAA Division 1 Institution, and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), is seeking a qualified candidate for a 12-month, full time position as a Third Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. The Third Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in leading the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball program by assisting in recruiting and developing qualified student athletes, supervising assistant coaches and organizing schedules. The Third Assistant Coach must conduct the program in a manner that recognizes the importance of academics by recruiting, supporting, and retaining student-athletes while will be competitive in the MAAC. The Third Assistant Coach must ensure that the Men’s Basketball program operates in compliance of all College, MAAC and NCAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Recruiting of prospective student-athletes
• Scouting of current and future opponents
• Individual player development
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Men’s Basketball Coach

Required Qualifications:

• Salary Range - 65,000 - 70,000.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail and keep specific timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships and create partnerships with a wide range of constituent groups.
• Possess a valid drivers license.
• Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of full-time prior experience at the collegiate level.
• Assertive, outgoing, hardworking, and resourceful.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to problem solve.
• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
• COVID vaccination recommended.
• Required to travel and the ability to work nights, weekend, and holidays.
• Ability to work effectively with coaches, students, faculty, administration, alumni and members of the community.
