What You'll Be Doing
As the Director of Construction & Purchasing, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing all construction field operations and managing our purchasing department. Your responsibilities will include:
Making Dream Homes a Reality: You'll lead our efforts to ensure that renovation projects and home inspections are completed in a timely manner and within budget. Your eye for detail will help us create stunning homes that our clients will love.
Building the Dream Team: Managing and developing our field managers and purchasing managers will be a key part of your role. Your expertise in recruiting and training will help us build a top-notch team.
Innovation and Efficiency: We're all about finding better ways to do things. You'll continuously source new suppliers, contractors, and vendors to reduce costs and improve the quality and turnaround time of our construction projects.
Quality and Affordability: You'll negotiate the best possible prices without compromising on quality, and you'll be instrumental in developing detailed scopes of work for renovations.
Organization and Coordination: Keeping everything running smoothly is essential. You'll work closely with our field managers to schedule trades efficiently and ensure that work is completed as planned.
Customer Satisfaction: We believe in providing the best service to our clients. You'll respond promptly to home inspection items and work with our sales team to resolve repair issues, ensuring smooth settlements.
Expansion and Growth: We're not stopping here! You'll also be involved in our exciting expansion into new markets, bringing our high-quality homes to even more people.
What We're Looking For
Passion for Construction: You should have at least 10 years of experience in residential construction and a minimum of 5 years in purchasing. Your love for the industry will shine through in your work.
Leadership Experience: With at least 2 years in a senior manager or director level role, you know how to lead and inspire a team to achieve great results.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and computer skills are a must. You'll be working closely with various stakeholders, so being an effective communicator is essential.
Education: A bachelor's degree or higher will be an added advantage.
