Director Of Business Operations

A leading company in the biopharmaceutical industry is currently seeking a Director of Business Operations Will be a key voice in the company. For the right executive, this is a fantastic opportunity with great growth prospects. Key duties include:

• Leverage professional network to identify and connect with potential investors, industry experts, and key opinion leaders to strengthen fundraising prospects and facilitate strategic partnerships
• Contribute to the development and review of the company's strategic direction, business plans, and objectives, providing valuable insights and challenging assumptions, when necessary
• Review financial reports, budgets, and key financial metrics to ensure accuracy and transparency, and provide guidance on financial decisions
• Develop and implement an effective fundraising strategy aligned with the company's objectives and growth plans and collaborate with the Executive Team and relevant stakeholders
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including shareholders, potential investors, regulators, and industry partners, representing the company's interests and enhancing its reputation
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the Executive Team, share expertise and foster the professional growth
• Ensure the company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements while promoting ethical practices and maintaining the highest standards of integrity
• Assess and monitor the company's risk profile and work with the Executive Team to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
• Engage in board meetings, offer informed opinions and constructive criticism, promote open dialogue and foster a culture of collaboration among board members
• Lead and support fundraising efforts, including equity offerings, private placements, venture capital investments and strategic partnerships
• Participate in the identification and evaluation of potential executive team members, ensuring a robust succession plan is in place for key leadership positions
• Review financial reports, budgets, and key financial metrics and ensure accuracy and transparency and provide guidance on financial decisions
• Participate in board committees as required, such as audit, remuneration, or nomination committees and leverage expertise to contribute to the respective mandates

Critical Requirements

• A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
• Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in operations management
• Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
• Recent experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred
