Job Description
Our Marketing team has experienced rapid growth and increased complexity in recent years associated with supporting a dynamic and evolving business through brand, digital, communications, content, product, and foundation teams, and systems. To continue on this trajectory and support a hybrid organizational structure distributed geographically and across divisions, we’re searching for a highly qualified Director, Marketing Strategy to report to the CMO and work closely with our marketing leadership team. From day one, this person will have an immediate impact on our productivity, streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing program management, and communicating objectives between departments and being the main interface with our marketing leaders within divisions. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a project management role, with a special focus on marketing & communications, executive influence, and interdepartmental collaboration.


Objectives of this Role


  • Oversee strategic marketing initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of the CMO and Marketing Leadership Team.
  • Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation.
  • Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity.


Responsibilities


  • Help evolve our key performance indicators and how to measure team performance.
  • Assessing risk associated with key business decisions.
  • Assess project scope and impact across various stakeholder groups, i.e., divisional marketing and comms teams, business leaders, expert teams, etc., to optimize the execution of programs and initiatives.
  • Identifying and providing recommendations on improvements across the People Team and across the Nasdaq organization.
  • Overseeing strategic marketing initiatives from ideation to implementation.
  • Identifying and helping solve core problems or opportunities within business processes.
  • Working with leadership to deliver, monitor and communicate progress towards goals.
  • Providing support and oversight for special projects and initiatives.
  • Leading development of strategic presentations and business cases in partnership with the Chief Marketing Officer and leadership team—will play an active role in analyzing data, identifying insights, and designing/drafting compelling stories and cases for change.
  • Planning, coordinating and leading meetings and workshops.
  • Planning, coordinating and keeping contents of a meeting focused.
  • Collaborating with leadership team members to identify and prioritize strategic focus.
  • Providing CMO and Marketing Leadership Team with insight and analysis on the function’s operations and impact.
  • Providing department leaders with recommendations and consultation to improve collaboration and cross team effectiveness.


Skills And Qualifications


  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Strong project management skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication.
  • 8+ years of marketing/operations experience, in a strategy, project management or marketing management role.
  • Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments.
  • Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity.
  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Proven success in a project coordination role.
  • Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions.
  • Consulting experience with a focus on operations management.
  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form.
  • Experience with budget management.

The base pay range for this role is $110,900 - $184,800. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
