Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY:


Pfizer is looking for a senior leader of Analytics Strategy and Planning, reporting to VP, Analytics Transformation and Governance. A key responsibility will be working cross functionally to define analytics strategy for all Commercial Analytics, as well as key areas such as data & analytics, data science, analytics engineering, BI reporting, and market research. This role will support the strategic needs of Chief Commercial Analytics Officer and functional leaders, and work with teams to translate strategies to plans for execution. Description:


The person will be working with Chief Commercial Analytics Officer and Commercial Analytics functional leaders to develop analytics strategies across the entire org, as well as lead and work cross functionally to translate strategies to short-term and long-term plans. This role is accountable for driving planning process, analytics roadmaps, resourcing process, regularly review of progress, and executive and inside/outside communication. This leader will work with analytics leaders to ensure consistency and best practice of strategy and roadmap development. The Commercial team commits to modernize analytics capabilities and needs a cross-functional body to serve as the final authority for all key analytics decisions. The Analytics Governance Council (AGC) serves as a Board of Directors for key decisions related to analytics work, spend, and resourcing. The Analytics Strategy and Planning team members will develop AGC template and guidelines, support AGC and work with Commercial Analytics teams to ensure AGC decisions are implemented through analytics prioritization, execution, and communication.


  • Develop and lead regular review of progress - weekly, monthly, quarterly to ensure effective execution by functional teams, and timely leadership team support for key initiatives.
  • Develop prioritization framework to balance near-term impact and long-term strategic investment, and implement across Commercial Analytics.
  • You are a hands-on leader who has demonstrated the ability to hire, build and develop high performing teams to meet the needs of a highly dynamic and complex business.
  • Lead cross teams effort across Commercial Analytics with goal-oriented metrics-driven planning and roadmap development
  • Drive effective executive and inside/outside communications to ensure transparency, alignment, and support across leaders and teams.
  • Support AGC and ensure business cases and pitches are developed with AGC templates & guidelines. Act as new initiative shepherd though the AGC planning process.
  • Drive robust resourcing process as Commercial Analytics continues to build out full team.
  • Schedule, lead and support the Analytics Governance Council meeting rhythms, documents, and reporting outcomes/next steps back to their pods.
  • You are a top-tier analytics leader with significant experience in forming analytics and product teams, organizing processes and workflows, and mentoring/developing the managers what work on your team as well as junior team members.
  • Lead cross functional committees, develop data and analytics strategies, align stakeholders, communicate and deliver measurable outcomes of success.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology or EE, or relevant industry experience. Masters preferred
  • Strategic leader with proven track record in business transformation via modern analytics/ML/AI solutions and measurable financial benefit.
  • Proven relationship building and ability to effectively influence peers and senior business leaders.
  • Self-starter and able to seek out new problems then develop and implement solutions
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in data analytics/technology and 10+ years' managerial experience.
  • Developed and implemented analytics prioritization criteria, standards, best practices and procedures that directly lead to improvements in quality and integrity of data & analytics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, adept at clearly articulating to management and business users. Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Able to develop and present complex problems in a simple way, and quickly switch between details and the big picture.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines.
  • Extensive experience in leading team and implementation and bringing analytics solutions, systems, and processes to enterprise grade.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $185,800.00 to $309,600.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Pfizer compensation structures and benefit packages are aligned locally, the US Salary range provided does not apply to the Tampa, FL or any EXUS locations.


Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
