Position Summary


The Director of Learning and Development will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning and development programs across the organization. This role will play a critical part in driving employee engagement, performance, and talent development strategies.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Provides individual and group coaching to enhance leadership skills and promote a culture of continuous learning
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Designs and curates a variety of learning methodologies and resources, including e-learning, instructor-led training, workshops, coaching, and mentoring programs
  • Leads the needs assessment process to identify learning gaps and opportunities for employee development at all levels
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to develop and deliver high-quality learning initiatives
  • Stays up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in learning and development to ensure programs are innovative and effective
  • Manages the learning management system (LMS) and other learning platforms, ensuring usability, accessibility, and data integrity
  • Supports a continuous learning environment across the company and implements change management principles as needed
  • Promotes a learning culture and creates opportunities for employee growth and skill enhancement
  • Partners with HR and managers to assess and address performance gaps through targeted development solutions
  • Oversees the implementation and administration of learning programs, including scheduling, logistics, tracking, and evaluation
  • Collaborates with HR and senior leadership to identify and develop succession planning and talent management strategies
  • Develops and implements a strategic learning and development plan aligned with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Establishes metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning programs
  • Designs and delivers leadership development programs to support the growth and effectiveness of managers and high-potential employees

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues succinctly for a multitude of audiences
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms


Experience And Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Experience in designing and implementing blended learning solutions and converting in-person training to virtual formats
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in learning and development, 5+ of which were in a leadership role
  • Pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience preferred, not required
