Manager, Learning & Development The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.
Pay Range:
$110,274.00 - $165,412.00 Scheduled Weekly Hours:
40 What You’ll Be Doing
Responsible for planning, directing and overseeing the development and implementation of organization-wide learning and development initiatives and programs necessary to achieve the credit union's strategic and business plan goals. Manages and provides expertise in all functions of learning & development. Determines specific and organizational learning needs through needs assessment and consultation with management. This position is eligible to be fully onsite or hybrid (3 days a week in office/2 days a week work from home).
- Drives the adoption of instructional technologies and engage remote learners.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Ensures that the content of learning programs meets established quality standards.
- May oversee the management of Learning Management System.
- Manages relationships with vendors and consultants for the purchase and/or development of content and the delivery of learning services, as needed.
- Consults with senior management on projects with learning and development needs or changes that may impact ongoing team development. Conducts needs assessments to determine specific learning needs.
- Responsible for design, development, delivery and evaluation of effective learning solutions, combining classroom instruction and online training. Ensure the most effective technology and learning strategies are used to meet program objectives.
- May be responsible for the oversight of the following learning & development programs; technical, service culture, consultative service skills, leadership/management, professional, regulatory-compliance or required.
- Manages organizational efforts to improve overall team performance, productivity and efficiency relating to the credit union. Sets, measures, and modifies tactical approaches and plans relating to team development.
- Oversees the development of monthly ad hoc and/or scheduled reports.
- Assists with the coordination and integration of ongoing learning and development plan. Recommends short and long-range objectives and strategies to enhance division effectiveness.
Additional Job Functions
- Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures and analyzing variances.
- Provides daily support to staff, including answering questions and problem resolution, communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Contributes to organizational goals and priorities as a member of Management team. Establishes and implements plans that have short-term (1-2 year) impact on business results in alignment with organization objectives.
- Understands the credit union organizational goals and key performance indicators and takes the necessary actions to achieve desired results.
- Evaluates operating procedures and policies, ensuring the highest levels of Member service, productivity and internal control.
- Initiates, researches, coordinates and implements department or division projects intended to benefit Members, internal teammembers or department operations.
- Ensures compliance with state and federal laws as well as any other applicable regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions
Qualifications
- Preferred Master's Degree
- Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience
- 1-3 years previous management experience
- 7-10 years of previous related experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Well-organized, efficient, detail-oriented self-starter, able to work independently.
- Excellent analytical ability, and the ability to conduct thorough research, interpret and understand laws and regulations, and provide workable recommendations and solutions to problems.
- Effectively manage change, including assessing the impact, communicating change initiatives, and leading teams through the change process.
- Oversee resources to execute organization-wide initiatives, in alignment with Credit Union priorities.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Broad knowledge of, and practical experience with, Credit Union or other financial institution operating areas, functions, products and services and the laws and regulations which apply to credit unions. The ability to work with all levels of management and Credit Union staff, as well as Members.
- Make sound decisions based on data, experience, and judgment, including the ability to evaluate alternatives and take strategic risks.
- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in an efficient and effective manner.
