Director, Global HR - Shared Services Transformation
This position will be 100% REMOTE, (preference is Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Texas).
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking to hire a Director, Global HR, Shared Services Transformation via confidential search. The HR Team empowers the organization to flourish and achieve excellence, thereby facilitating the effective execution of its business strategy and the fulfillment of its purpose.
This role will report to the Chief HR Officer and will focus on accelerating the velocity of functional transformation, including manager and employee self-service implementation and adoption. The incumbent will partner with leaders to advise on best practice and will focus on building a culture of continuous improvement ensuring efficient and consistent employee experience and delivering operational excellence and simplification across our Shared Services.
What you will do:
- Team Inspiration and Leadership: Lead a team of front and back-end HR professionals across countries to deliver services to approximately 1,000 employees across the globe, as well as a team of specialists in digital HR technologies and people analytics. Part of the team is accountable for solving issues that are routine, as well as undefined and unique, and require information gathering, analysis, investigation and follow-up with COEs and employees. The other part of the team is accountable for digital HR technologies implementation, configuration, integration, training and reporting. All together, the Director, HR Shared Services Transformation should ensure the team is partnering effectively with HR Business Partners/COEs for training, shadowing, documentation, process mapping, etc., in line with the core Values of Our Client.
- Shared Services Design and Execution: Conduct comprehensive assessment of all HR administrative functions under previous model and drive the transition and stand-up of a global Shared Services function. Drive and foster collaboration of HR Shared Services within HR functions, IT, and other Departments as needed to ensure employee, customer and business needs are met. Lead the end-to-end transition plan for new work into Shared Services, primarily through automation. Lead day-to-day performance metrics, ensuring clear SLA's and OKR’s align to effective and positive employee experience. Utilize metrics to demonstrate and communicate Shared Services value. Deliver on internal quality assurance expectations leveraging key metrics that help measure performance against SLA's, volumes, customer satisfaction & quality.
- Front-Office team responsibilities include responding to employee HR and benefits questions, new hire onboarding, PEO arrangements, maternity, paternity, other types of leaves, and accommodations.
- Back-office team responsibilities includes managing benefits & severance administration, serving as Payroll & PEO liaison/account managers, delivering standard and custom HR/workforce reports and dashboards, compliance reporting, HR vendor billing, payroll and benefits reports, records management, employment verification, immigration and I-9 administration.
- HR Technologies: Design and implement digital HR technology strategy, including simplification/integration of HR systems to meet the expectations of our clients. Execute system enhancements, including new functionality rollouts and modifications of existing functionality and coordinate and perform test documentation and post-implementation support. Document processes via job aides and knowledge-based articles. Ensures that processes and procedures adhere to defined audit and internal controls.
- People Analytics: Develop and execute a strategy that enables People Partners and Business leaders to make data-driven decisions about people. This includes designing and managing People Analytics projects, evaluating the effectiveness of HR programs/pilots, and identifying new opportunities for investment. Manage team conducting statistical techniques and/or predictive modeling to answer workforce-related questions. Partner HR Partners to design and execute dashboards with insights gathered at key moments in the employee lifecycle, periodic engagement measurement, and other non-survey sources. Scope and lead new research to explore unanswered questions or dispel myths about our workforce.
- Benefits Design & Implementation: Partner with the C-level, and other key stakeholders to develop, execute, and communicate key benefits programs. Oversee the design, funding, and administration of all annual benefits projects. Participate in the selection and management of all vendors, brokers, and administrative partners.
- Business Partnerships: Learn the business, industry, and culture. Establish, build, and leverage positive working relationships with business leaders, People Team peers, and other key stakeholders. Develop and implement a proactive communication plan for the function that directly supports and drives the strategic direction of the business and holistically delivers a positive employee experience. Manage relationships and projects with relevant external partners, consultants and vendors. Develop and implement communications strategy with HR Partners to get alignment on cross-functional projects and increase customer service satisfaction.
- Project/Financial Management: Lead additional projects as requested, including: labor market research; workforce planning; acquisition integrations; cost/benefit analysis; compliance reporting, etc. Proactively partner with the Finance department on budgeting and accrual of HR / Culture programs.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in HR functions, processes, and best practices required
- People-centric professional – ability to communicate and interact effectively with all level of employees, particularly C-suite and Board of Directors
- Expert in formatting and presenting data, conclusions and proposals, to executives and Board of Directors required
- Knowledgeable of global benefits program design and administration
- Highly detail driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with an ability to see the bigger picture
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required in Business, Industrial/ Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Business Analytics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- 10-12 years of experience working in an HR and Shared Services environment required, preferably with a global company
- Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of tact, discretion and sound business judgment
- Strong mathematical, analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills; along with experience using Excel, Google Sheets and data visualization tools like Tableau required
- Experience with different HR technologies and having the knowledge base to make recommendations for appropriate HR enabling technologies required

- Experience leading complex projects, managing risk and driving a team to deliver the highest quality results for our clients required
