Director - Energy Team

• Senior level (Director) – Future will hire 1-2 people beneath this role.

• Location: US, remote

• Description: sourcing, negotiation and portfolio management of power procurement agreements and relationships. Formalising global location strategy for mining. Closely working together with business development & Datacenter engineering

• Other: travel involved across US / CA

• Profile: senior leader with global experience (preferably) and connections with power providers in the US

• Experience with Power Providers

• Power strategy for site sourcing, power trading, good understanding, new role - had a team before

• Understand the power contracts, trading, hedging, and work together to formulate the power portfolio management - exploratory - understand the mining strategy where they want to expand, formulate power strategy.

• Power industry, trading, hedging

• Negotiation experience

• Responsible for portfolio management

• Global Experience – focus go forward will be the US

• Experience on the power markets

• Team will be small, working closely with business dev and datacenter engineering, start-up like experience, and the candidate needs this broader set of capabilities rather than a long-term career in 1 area. Show examples of how you are hands on and versatility.

• Analytical background is a big plus.

• Show passion and enthusiasm for industry – Looking for ‘firepower’ to really take ownership and have a vision on power for mining

• Candidates that have knowledge on renewables / behind the meter generation or Candidates that have have an oil& gas background -> good fit and understanding of the market – showcase this during interview.
