The Position:

As part of the Project Management-Energy Storage System group, this role serves as the commercial and logistical liaison between the HQ product lines, ESS Project Management, Operations and Service project managers during the project execution.

The primary responsibility of this position is to communicate and advocate ESS project’s delivery requirements to ensure Sungrow’s manufacturing, transport and logistical performance meet customer’s on-time-delivery expectations and cost targets. This position assists the Project management staff in driving metrics for Project Management and Operations and will be a key liaison to the production facility in China and other oversea locations, hence Mandarin fluency is essential. Supplementary responsibilities include creating, updating and distributing reports for Project Managers in the Airtable (or other designated tools), monitoring KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives to effect clear and actionable data driven decisions on transportation, logistic and storage phases and improve delivery time to the site for ESS projects.

As our system evolves and matures, the position responsibilities will evolve and change to meet our business needs. The candidate will work closely with ESS Project Managers, Sungrow Service team, PMO team and System Solution team in HQ to manage project execution risk during manufacturing and delivery. This position will be part of the ESS Business group and report to the Director of Project Management, Energy Storage.

In this position, you will:

Project Support:

  • Compile Turnover Package with Commissioning Manager & Engineering for customer submittal.
  • Use Sungrow prescribed tools and applications to enter project order status consisting of Built-To-Order.
  • Maintain the project information’s on the air-table (Tool) for all PV & BESS projects.
  • Demonstrate deep level of understanding of the project's logistical schedule, warehouse management and work with the logistical team to execute the delivery daily. Ensure all the projects have been tracked in the system and update the project logistical information in real-time.
  • Track all project change orders & invoices in C4 tool.
  • Consulting with Sales, inside – Sales, Project manager, and Contract Manager to set up project on the internal tools during project handover from Sales.

Project Management Office Support:

  • Develop project reporting tool with internal and / or external resources to see overall project health like Guaranteed delivery dates, guaranteed commissioning dates, final completion dates, document status, commissioning status and other contractually significant dates and track them in real time.
  • Consulting with Inside Sales, Project managers, and Commissioning managers to set up “Project Dashboard” to see project progress.
  • Develop baseline project & commissioning schedule.
  • Coordinate project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders and provide regular reports to Project Leadership.
  • Monitoring project timelines and deadlines from the project dashboard.
  • Facilitate weekly project review meetings.
  • Perform project gate check meetings with project stake holders to monitor project progress.
  • Technical Savvy to implement new tools to support PM’s & CM’s daily work.
  • Conduct internal audit on project internal & external deliverables.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in Project management/service business
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Minimum two (2) years' logistics and planning
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of logistical costs involving overseas transport and US port selection and inland logistics decisions.

Education or Desired License and Certificates:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business is preferred.
  • Previous shipping and logistics experience plus
  • Previous supply chain experience plus
