Remote Project Manager With Renewable Energy Projects Experience

We are currently searching for a dynamic and driven Senior Project Manager with expertise in the field of renewable energy. Reporting directly to the Director, you will also collaborate closely with various departments within the EPC division and the broader Savion organization.

In this role, your primary focus will encompass both pre-construction and construction phases, along with providing support during project development inquiries. Additionally, the position entails remote project management responsibilities for projects progressing through the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities:

• Balance technical requirements with commercial considerations, providing well-grounded recommendations while factoring in relevant risks.
• Present decisions and recommendations effectively.
• Contribute to contract tendering and bidding processes, coordinating with internal engineering teams and external suppliers and contractors to ensure delivery specifications are met.
• Assist with technical due diligence as required by other departments.
• Lead and facilitate interface management between internal and external stakeholders, including consultants and contractors.
• Provide regular weekly and monthly status reports to senior management, covering construction progress, capital budget forecasts, and any project-related challenges.
• Document all recommendations and ensure sufficient due diligence to support decisions, whether internal or external.
• Ensure effective feedback loops with internal and external resources.
• Offer on-site and off-site project management support as required.
• Collaborate with project development teams to facilitate and synchronize early-stage engineering designs and permitting efforts.
• Aid in resolving a variety of technical and specialist issues throughout both bid and execution stages.
• Provide strategic and administrative leadership for projects during pre-construction and construction phases, closely collaborating with the Director of Pre-Construction and Construction.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Familiarity with project bidding and contracting processes.
• Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience, preferably within the Solar Renewables sector.
• Over 8 years of experience in engineering, construction, or operations within solar energy facilities or similar electric generation plants, high voltage transmission lines, and substations.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Understanding of electric utility design and operations standards.
• Proficient in IT, with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT-based project management software.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (preferred).
• Advanced degrees in engineering or business (preferred).
• Relevant Project Management and Construction experience.
