Job Description

The Harry James Group are looking for a Sales Director for Energy Storage opportunities within the United States.The preferred location for the position is in one ofClientsmajor Energy locations, Houston, Fort Lauderdale, Herndon or Emeryville, but a home office could be considered also.This position would report to the Vice President, Americas.

In this position, yourmain responsibilitiesare to:

  • Ensure customer focus, managing customer relations and establishing key decision maker connections and increasingly win repeat business
  • Execute necessary action and positioning to create demand for our client ESS solutions and services and create reliable sales forecas.
  • Create a winning strategy for profitable ESS growth in the US business in alignment with Energy business strategy
  • Support strongly ESS service Agreements sales
  • Understand customers' business models, project revenue streams, and key decision factors
  • Understand the customer segments and leading players and create targeted strategies to build strong relationships with leading accounts
  • Assure contracting quality
  • Lead a team of Business Development Managers (front line sales) covering the USA, including the team development
  • Work collaboratively with Energy and Storage Solutions Business unit to understand market trends and create best strategies to position our client for success in the market
  • Ensure Sales processes and governance models are followed up

Report results according to the reporting guideline:

  • Follow projects until CoD becoming the customer advocate in delivery disputes
  • Ensure team members lead contract discussions all the way through to signing and hand-off to delivery
  • Enhance co-operation between own function, ES&O Business Unit, delivery organization and product management
  • Lead towards high performance culture through constantly challenging the status quo, developing the ways of working and leadership within own team.
  • Develop win/loss summary analyses including lessons learned
  • Lead business efficiently and in a sustainable manner
  • Ensuring know-how and professional competence development and optimal resourcing for the business

As an ideal candidate you should have a relevant degree and at least 10 years of suitable experience, often in a leadership role; as well as extensive knowledge in the Renewables industry/Energy Storage industry and experience in running multi-stakeholder P&L.
