Job Description

The Entertainment Industry’s bone chilling reality: The stuff people want, the stuff that attracts the herds, the stuff that influences the most, is the stuff the industry doesn’t do well. The rapidly expanding universe of Creators is challenging the very definition of entertainment, and in doing so, forcing the incumbents to change or die. The internet created this new world order of entertainment. And the industry has relentlessly tried to ignore or buck this trend. But this isn’t a trend. It IS modern entertainment.


We, Made In Network, are a studio and publishing house, building some of the biggest channels on the internet with the most influential voices across culture. Our business was born from the rise of the creator, focused on helping humans build audiences around ideas they had that we liked.


Fast forward to today, we produce and operate some of the biggest creator-led channels (think Babish Culinary Universe) on the internet, while investing in new talent with high potential for audiences at scale. We currently operate 20+ media brands. With over 150M fans. Generating over 450M monthly video views. We think we’re on to something. We’re growing and we need to expand our advertising and partnerships team.


What are we looking for?


We are currently looking for a Director, Advertising and Content Sponsorships to be part of our team.

Head of Advertising & Partnerships


The details?


Employment: Full Time

Target Start Date: Right now

Compensation: Base + Commission

Based: Remote


The task at hand?


●Bring a consultative approach that will align Customer’s goals with Made In’s assets to drive successful commercial partnerships.

●Manage and develop new and existing client base to increase revenues from blue chip brands across the Made In’s offerings integrations, custom production and custom content solutions and management.

●Creatively work with Made In’s integrated marketing team to provide innovative solutions and grow revenue.

Develop and maintain a strong understanding of all social platforms and of the Made In Creators.


The ideal candidate has or does most of this stuff:


●5+ years of experience of selling digital video (pre-roll, branded content and video integrations with creators/influencers) and with proven success with brands that target young adult demographics

●Occasionally over-binges on obscure content found deep inside of streaming catalogs and enjoys getting lost in video shorts feeds

●Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals

●Excellent communication and presentation skills

●A strong understanding of agency, media, and digital advertising sales.

●A cool, calm and collected approach to problem solving

●Understands that trust leads to money

●Ability to thrive in a scaling, DIY environment

●Appreciates Mazzy Star and realizes Taylor Swift’s Lover is essentially a Mazzy track.

●Strong self-awareness and people-management skills

●Understands why the plain slice (or margherita) is the only criteria that should be considered when judging or ranking a pizzeria.

●Has a growth-oriented mindset and gets excited about pursuing new opportunities.

●Knows exactly who Jesus Shuttlesworth is.
