What is a life in the day of me as an Amazon Advertising Manager at Recom?

As an Amazon Ads Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing advertising campaigns on Amazon to drive traffic, increase sales, and maximize return on investment. Your role will center on work that is fast-paced and autonomous, set within a supportive team structure. The goals are to develop and maintain effective search campaigns for our clients on Amazon and to continually optimize them through testing, keyword analysis and bidding strategy.


In this role you will report directly to the SVP of Digital Advertising and will be based at the Company’s office in Deerfield, FL. This is an in-person, office-based role.


In any given day you will:

  • Monitor and adjust bids, budgets, and targeting settings to ensure campaigns are meeting performance goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content, creative, and partner management teams, to develop and implement effective advertising strategies
  • Analyze campaign performance data and provide insights and recommendations to improve campaign performance
  • Implement successful bidding strategies and effective keyword management
  • Leveragelearnings to help guide and inform DSP/Programmatic advertising strategies
  • Create and manage Amazon advertising campaigns, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display ads
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize campaigns to drive traffic, increase sales, and maximize return on investment
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Amazon advertising trends and best practices to ensure campaigns are leveraging the latest features and opportunities
  • In-platform activation and optimization of Amazon paid search campaigns
  • Research, create, categorize and refine keyword lists to create a comprehensive pay-per-click campaign on Amazon
  • Analyze and assess campaign performance; revise and optimize as necessary
  • Conduct keyword research and develop targeting strategies to reach the right audience


What do I need to thrive in the role?

The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of three years of experience in managing Amazon Ads or four years of experience in managing Google Ads. They should have managed Amazon Ads across multiple products and have a deep understanding of Amazon advertising best practices, including campaign structure, keyword research, targeting strategies, and bid management. While Amazon Ads certification is preferred, it is not required. Additionally, the candidate should have experience using Bid Management tools, Amazon Advertising Console, and other Amazon advertising tools. They should possess strong analytical skills and use data to drive decisions and optimize campaigns. They should also have experience working with Amazon Seller Central, Vendor Central, eBay, Walmart, or similar e-commerce platforms. While a Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field is preferred, it is not required. The candidate should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, collect, track, analyze, and synthesize large amounts of data, and have excellent organizational and planning skills.
