Job Description

We are seeking a highly creative and talented contract Art Director to join our dynamic team at Dickies, a Workwear and Lifestyle brand. As the Contracted Art Director, you will be responsible for leading the creative concepting process and providing on-location art direction to ensure the visual integrity and consistency of our brand across all platforms.


How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Collaborate with the Graphic Design team to provide guidance and ensure cohesive branding across various marketing materials, including print, digital, social media, and packaging.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and creative techniques to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the brand's visual identity and marketing strategies.
  • Lead the creative concepting process, including brainstorming, mood boards, and storyboarding, to develop engaging and visually compelling campaigns, advertisements, and brand assets.
  • Provide on-location art direction for photoshoots and video productions, ensuring that the creative vision is brought to life and the desired brand aesthetics are achieved.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sr. Art Director and Creative Director, Marketing team, and other stakeholders to develop and execute creative concepts that align with the brand's vision, values, and target audience.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, upholding the brand's creative vision and ensuring consistent implementation across all touchpoints.
  • Oversee the selection and editing of final assets, ensuring they meet the brand's standards of quality, creativity, and visual appeal.
  • Work closely with photographers, videographers, stylists, and models to guide the visual direction and maintain consistency in the brand's visual identity.

Location:

Skills for Success:

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain brand consistency while exploring new creative territories.
  • A passion for fashion, workwear, and lifestyle trends, with a deep understanding of the target audience and the ability to translate their preferences into compelling visuals.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your creative direction and conceptualization skills, preferably in the fashion, workwear, or lifestyle industry.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
  • Proven experience as an Art Director or a similar role, demonstrating the ability to lead creative projects from concept to execution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear direction to creative partners.
  • In-depth knowledge of design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
