Where you’ll see your impact


As an exceptional Health Coach, you’ll be responsible for onboarding and supporting patients using the NuvoAir Home technology for remote (home) monitoring as well as coaching members to set and achieve health goals. This is very much a relationship-focused position designed to help our clinical partners and patients leverage our platform to its greatest extent. Our mission is to support people with long term respiratory conditions to engage in self monitoring of health, to understand their health data and to use data to have collaborative conversations with their healthcare teams. As a health coach with expertise in supporting behavior change, and a passion for digital health, you will be pivotal in helping our users to engage with their health data and use it to influence their health related behaviors.


This role is remote & based from home. You may on occasion be asked to attend meetings or training in person.


What you’ll be responsible for


  • Assisting users with their digital abilities, providing trouble-shooting and basic tech support (such as resetting passwords and navigating the app and website) when required
  • Working closely with NuvoAir respiratory therapists, nurses, and other team members to coordinate care, provide warm handoffs, and escalate issues to appropriate team members
  • Enabling users to engage in self monitoring and coach them to better understand their health and health data
  • Actively participating in process improvement and measurement of change
  • Actively engaging with users via a variety of communication tools including telephone, email, text, video calling to provide feedback and support, answer questions, share resources, and hold users accountable to their goals
  • Actively engaging users in positive health related behaviors such participating in physical activity, healthy diet, managing stress, coping with illness and setting achievable health goals
  • Maintaining compliance with data security and privacy regulations pertaining to HIPAA
  • Liaising with external clinical teams to inform them of the patients’ progress with the technology and to support them to maximize the potential of the NuvoAir Home platform in their setting
  • Supporting users to onboard to the NuvoAir Home App and achieve high quality data capture in the home setting with a focus on spirometry, pulse oximetry, activity tracking, and symptom monitoring

  • Must have a warm, friendly, engaging and positive personality
  • Must be comfortable with innovation, process improvement, and a rapid pace of change
  • Experience providing care for another person, either professionally or outside of work
  • Must possess experience with health coaching and be able to educate team members, patients, and caregivers using behavior change techniques, such as motivational interviewing
  • Experience with customer service, preferably in healthcare
  • Experience in and comfortable working via a range of virtual and remote communication tools such as phone, email, text, and using Google Meet, Zoom and other platforms
  • Experience and comfort working with mobile software applications and technology
