The Studio team at Okta is a growing group within Marketing, composed of creatives, strategists, producers and marketing managers alike. Our team’s focus is to lead the brand, tell powerful stories and inspire creative excellence.

As a partner to cross-functional teams across all of Okta, we tie our goals to our most important company initiatives, driving towards shared KPIs, strategies and processes to unify and push the brand and business forward.

About This Role

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Designer, Social Media to take our content on various social media channels to the next level. You should be able to plan, produce, and develop content that is creative, informative, on-brand, and is social-first. This role will be focused primarily on designing static images, motion graphics, and light video-editing.

You’re social-first, you know the latest memes, and you are on top trending design formats on Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok. You will also be responsible for working on employer brand, corporate communications initiatives, and our larger content marketing launches.

As a Social Media Designer, you should be able to work in a competitive environment and manage multiple projects and deadlines. This role will work in close collaboration with our Social Media, Content Marketing, and Creative teams.

What You Will Do

• Design, create, and produce graphics for Okta’s social media profiles on Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok as well as employer brand, corporate communications, and our larger content marketing launches.
• 20% light video editing
• 80% designing images and GIFs
• Developing and sharing various social media content like graphics, videos, and other forms of content
• Creating attractive social media posts to catch the audience's attention
• Assisting in planning and creating content for online channels
• Collaborate with brand team, creative team, video team, and others

What Experience You Have

• Familiarity with tech, identity, CIAM, and/or start-ups a huge plus
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and prioritize according to needs of the business
• Self-starter who is biased toward action
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, design guidelines, and best practices
• Familiarity current design tools, specifically Figma and Creative Cloud
• Excellent communication skills
• Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
• 3 to 4 years graphic design experience, focus on social media channels
