Job Description
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for accurate data management? We're looking for a friendly and organized Data Entry Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining precise and well-organized data within our organization. This position involves entering, verifying, and updating various types of data in computer systems and databases. This opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate of $16.25 to $17.50.
Responsibilities
Accurate Data Entry: Skillfully input a variety of data, including text, numbers, and alphanumeric content, into designated computer systems and databases following established guidelines and procedures.
Data Verification: Thoroughly review and verify data for completeness and accuracy.
Data Maintenance: Regularly update and enhance existing data records by implementing necessary changes, corrections, or updates based on provided information.
Consistent Formatting: Ensure uniform data entry and formatting, adhering to established standards and guidelines for cohesive database management.
Effective Database Management: Organize and manage data within databases and electronic filing systems, ensuring systematic categorization, precise labeling, and proper archiving for seamless retrieval.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks on data to identify and address discrepancies, inaccuracies, or gaps. Collaborate with teammates to swiftly resolve any issues.
Confidentiality: Treat sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion, adhering to strict data protection and privacy protocols.
Communication: Foster effective communication with team members, supervisors, and other departments to facilitate accurate information exchange and smooth data entry processes.
Requirements
Attention to Detail: Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification tasks.
Experience: Possess proven experience as a data entry specialist or in a similar role.
Software Proficiency: Exhibit proficiency in using data entry software, database systems, and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Typing Skills: Showcase excellent typing speed and data entry capabilities.
Organizational Skills: Display strong organizational and time-management skills to efficiently handle tasks.
Problem-Solving: Approach tasks with a problem-solving mindset and adapt to evolving data entry tools and technologies.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating effective communication and a positive attitude.
Data Security: Understand data security and confidentiality protocols.
Education: Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in data entry or related fields is advantageous.
