The primary focus of this role is to develop, conduct and evaluate the effectiveness of technical training. This focus requires the analyses of customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives, and design. Additional duties of the role include research, courseware updates, and the development of new media in support of customer training.

This position is for an experienced 777 airframe maintenance training instructor who also has hands-on experience as a mechanic or technician on Boeing commercial airplanes.

This is a virtual position. The selected candidate may be required to perform some work onsite in Seattle WA at our Seattle training Campus, other campuses, and customer locations around the world.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops, conducts, and evaluates effectiveness of technical training. Uses specialized software to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials.
• Independently assembles and conducts customer training in broad subject areas using the appropriate medium to satisfy customer training requirements.
• Travels for work 25% of the time.
• Conducts analyses to evaluate customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives and design.
• Adjust work hours on occasion to support customer training, meetings, and workshops as needed.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.

• 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Capable of traveling 25% of the time, domestically or internationally
• Ability to qualify and conduct practical training on the airplane and in the classroom.
• Reliable cellular service is required at your home office
• Reliable and high-speed internet access is required at your home office, paid by the employee
• Experience interpreting commercial technical data including drawings, maintenance and operations manuals.
• Ability to qualify and conduct virtual training over the internet.
• Licensed Aircraft Mechanic.
• 1+ years’ experience performing instructional system development.
• Live within commuting distance to an airport with commercial service that can be booked via travel at Boeing required
• 10+ years’ experience conducting 777 airframe technical training and/or performing 777 airframe systems instructional system development.
• 5+ years' experience in aircraft maintenance and modification (This is time you were the technician physically working on the airplane (turning wrenches)).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree or higher

Typical Education/ Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 15 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: 86,700. – 135,700.
