Job Description

Job Summary:

Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, the Director - Human Resources & Talent plays an essential role on the HR team and contributes to the development and execution of the ODC strategic plan. Together with the HR team, the HR/Talent Manager drives and supports HR initiatives for over 800 teammates across multiple sites in the US and internationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Must take a strategic HR approach to the business but will operate with a “roll up your sleeves” generalist mentality to daily challenges and tasks.
  • Self-awareness and the natural ability to build trust and confidence, with his or her peer group, and the executive leadership team.
  • Collaborates and influences across HR and engages appropriate subject matter experts to execute key strategic HR issues for their client group.
  • Recommend improvements to policies, programs, and procedures related to the effectiveness of the HR function.
  • Track and analyze business/HR metrics on talent, teammate actions, overtime, global headcount, terminations, and voluntary attrition to recommend actions as needed.
  • Establishes and maintains consistent HR services for the operating entity; leads and/or mentors HR professionals and others within the organization.
  • Act as teammate champion and change agent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teammate engagement instilling a “can-do” mentality. Works closely with members of the team
  • Provides guidance and coaching to leadership at levels on behavioral and business-related issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. An ability to positively engage with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Maintains broad-based knowledge of the organization and its operations; uses knowledge of business and HR metrics to make business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Aligns HR strategy, goals, and objectives to overall business and site strategy and objectives; develops HR business strategies to drive key performance results; provides guidance on talent management, workforce relations, organization design and compensation to develop needed solutions.
  • Provide full life cycle recruiting to include sourcing, screening, interviewing, preparing, and closing candidate offers and use of ODC marketing materials through social media outlets.
  • Highly intelligent and analytical, possessing the intellectual curiosity to probe and understand how the dimensions within their area of responsibility work and influence the broader business.
  • The ability to be collaborative and drive progress and the ability to translate complex issues in terms readily understandable to a broad audience.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of high-level HR Manager or evidence of increase responsibility in an organization
  • Demonstrated ability to implement strategic programs to advance business objectives.
  • Experience with Dayforce, LinkedIn Recruiter, and coaching & mentoring experience with future talent is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team of HR professionals.
  • Must be a self-starter with a bias for action.
  • An undergraduate degree, preferably in Business, or related field, is required. An MBA would be considered a plus.
