In partnership with public safety, RapidSOS has created the world’s first intelligent safety platform that securely links life-saving data from 500M+ connected devices directly to 911 and first responders in an emergency. Through the platform, we’re providing intelligent data that supports over 15,000+ 911 and first responder agencies across North America, protecting 95%+ of people in the US, across 165M+ emergencies annually.
What this role is about:
As the Corporate Development & Finance Associate, you will apply thought leadership, analytical skills, and business judgment to create models and other materials to help define strategic priorities, deliver operational excellence, and foster innovation and growth for RapidSOS. The Corporate Development & Strategy team uses strategic, financial, investment, and operational frameworks to identify, develop and execute strategic acquisitions, projects, and operational initiatives in close collaboration with the Leadership Team. You’ll excel in this role if you enjoy wearing multiple hats, have an analytical mindset, thrive at solving strategic and operational challenges, and are mission-driven with a low ego.
What you’ll do:

• Drive continuous process improvement, including working cross-functionally, to create repeatable, consistent best practices that enable scale
• Assist in the development of strategic budgets and forecasts, providing specific, actionable, and forward-looking insight into the various changes as well as guidance on potential risk and opportunity items
• Develop and present materials which translate the learnings from research and analysis into an effective presentation and discussion materials for relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Provide ad hoc financial and operational modeling and business case analysis in areas such as M&A and new product development
• Collaborate with the sales, finance, and operations teams to track actuals & support the interlock between revenue recognition and billing during a key phase of the business growth; serve as a trusted finance partner across the company to operationalize our go-to-market strategy
• Own our growth model from the bottom up - Model revenue growth, track and model key SaaS metrics, analyze long-term margins, and conduct scenario analysis for critical investor and board reporting and to gauge business unit health
• Support the company leadership in executing strategic plans, facilitating relationships with prospective and current investors, managing board dialogue, and other special projects

What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience
• Exceptional analytical skills; high attention to detail with polished visual, written, and oral presentation skills - fluency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Open to coming into the NYC office once a week with flexibility depending on projects at hand
• Purpose over pride: Strong work ethic, self-starter, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking or other similar fields

Starting pay for a successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include experience, relevant skills, training, education, location, business needs, or market demands. The salary range for this role is $88,000 - $105,000. This role will also be eligible to receive equity options.
