Job Summary:

Disney Entertainment is seeking a Manager - Reporting, Consolidations & Strategy for ABC News. The successful candidate will manage the Long-Range Plan, Annual Operating Plan, and Forecasts for review by Finance and Executive leadership. They will work closely with the entire ABC News Finance team, as well as be a liaison with the Disney Entertainment Finance team, providing divisional level analysis as requested. Additionally, they will partner with ABC News Executives to lead strategy and planning for ABC News. The team will function as the Finance Business partner(s) for overhead and executive cost centers.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

• Finance business partner for overhead and executive cost centers such as Marketing, Public Relations, Talent Development, etc.
• Develop dashboards and reports that manage financial challenges and divisional headcount
• Direct the ABC News Finance team on cost treatment to align with Disney Data Dictionary
• Build effective partnerships with Disney Media Networks Finance, News leadership, finance, controllership, and other teams across the organization to facilitate consolidation of forecast data
• Partner with News Finance leaders to streamline processes within the team to create a consistent workflow and processes that ease consolidation process
• Lead 1 SFA direct report
• Create new and upgrade existing models and processes to analyze cost centers and accounts and drive efficiencies within the Finance team
• Prepare various divisional finance reports to Disney Entertainment Television Finance team and ABC News Executives
• Responsible for the consolidation of the Long-Range Plan, Annual Operating Plan and Forecasts

Basic Qualifications:

• Strong analytical skills with ability to solve complicated business issues with autonomy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence leaders, peers, and partners through building effective and productive relationships
• Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
• Advanced technical skills with a variety of applications / systems including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Strategic mind-set with aptitude for thinking broadly both across the team’s work and complex businesses

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years relevant work experience
• Prior media/television/broadcast industry experience
• SAP / Cognos / TM1 experience a plus

Education:

Bachelor Degree – Finance, Accounting or Economics; MBA in related field or CPA preferred

The hiring range for this position in NY is $125,928.00-$157,410.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
