Job Description

It all starts with the story.


As Content Strategist, you’ll help lead the discovery and development of that story for clients that range from renowned museums to universities and corporations. You’ll listen closely and facilitate workshops to determine what a client wants to become. You’ll read, watch and explore to suss out the most important messages and stories and how to organize them. And you’ll boldly imagine how to bring those stories to life with a team of multidisciplinary designers.

  • We believe in understanding and telling the whole story. This means community engagement, candid conversations, representing diverse voices, human-centered design, and abundant user testing to make sure that what we’ve designed serves the people we’re designing for.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead content research analysis and formation of content outlines and media matrices
  • Work with the internal design team and clients to develop a guiding interpretive strategy and conceptual approach for projects
  • Collaborate with the design team and clients to identify, collect, and organize images, artifacts, and other supporting exhibit assets
  • Help organize client workshops that explore key themes, messages, and storylines
  • Collaborate with the design team on mapping physical and digital interpretive experiences to the available exhibit space


Qualifications/Experience:

  • A team player working closely with colleagues from other capabilities in an iterative and collaborative process
  • Comfort and skill writing in a variety of styles (for different storytelling techniques, for pitches, for client decks)
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Experience in the production process for physical exhibits and media experiences
  • Comfort presenting work to clients


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience interpreting and translating often complicated ideas into compelling and digestible writing for a broad audience.
  • Additional museum experience
  • MA or other graduate degree in relevant field
