Who We Need:

The Compensation Analyst assists the Compensation Manager in the development, implementation, and administration of Cardinal’s compensation program, policies and procedures, and compensation initiatives. This role performs job evaluation and analysis for all company positions and advises stakeholders on compensation related matters while complying with compensation policies and procedures. The Compensation Analyst works closely with the Compensation Manager and collaborates across the broader Human Resources department, as well as with key business stakeholders to recommend and influence compensation decisions.

What You Will Do:

  • Runs reports from company HRIS and other systems to update data spreadsheets.
  • Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
  • Conducts competitive benchmarking and analysis of internal and external data to ensure fair, appropriate, and competitive pay for all positions at Cardinal.
  • Identifies and defines job leveling/Career Progression opportunities and influences decisions regarding organizational structure.
  • Creates, manages, and maintains all job descriptions for Cardinal Financial, ensuring accuracy in job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Supports and ensures data integrity across HR systems, tools, and communications.
  • Evaluates jobs to determine the appropriate classification, salary grade, EEO, and FLSA status for all new, modified, and existing positions.
  • Reviews job postings to ensure accuracy of job description, FLSA, and pay.
  • Conducts internal equity reviews annually and when necessary.
  • Conducts job audits to gather and document job, organizational, and occupational information including duties, responsibilities, and skills required by each job to drive consistency across the business.
  • Assists the Compensation Manager in special projects.
  • Perform biannual compensation reviews to ensure the Company’s pay structures are competitive.
  • Updates company HRIS with new additions and changes to jobs, pay grades, and other necessary items and communicates updates/status with stakeholders such as Onboarding, Mortgage Technology, and Talent Acquisition in a timely manner.
  • Participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine Cardinal Financial’s competitive position.
  • Provides Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP) and Business Leaders with compensation information, including pay grades, job descriptions, employee mapping, and other compensation related requests.
  • Provides information to HRBP and Business Leaders in the day-to-day application of compensation programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with changing federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations.

What You Need:

  • Experience working with a HRIS is desired
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and shift focus between projects and tasks
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work autonomously without constant dictated direction
  • Knowledge of human resource laws, regulations and best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to regularly handle and communicate confidential information in a professional manner
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Proficient with Google Suite or similar software
  • Strong collaborative work style
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 2+ years experience in Human Resources, Compensation or in a closely related field is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; or 4-6 years equivalent work experience required
  • Ability to analyze and interpret policies, practices, and procedures

The expected base salary for this position ranges from fifty nine thousand dollars to seventy one thousand dollars, determined based on the applicant's experience, skillset, education, training, certificates, and licenses.
