IT Concepts is looking for an experienced Clinical Application Coordinator to support our engagement with the Veterans Health Administration.
As a Clinical Application Coordinator supporting the VistA Sustainment program within the Veterans Health Administration, you will be responsible for supporting VA Medical Centers that need assistance preparing for the transition to Cerner Millennium electronic medical record. The day-to-day support of the VistA Sustainment program, providing professional and technical Health Informatics (HI) services to support closing the VAMCs CPRS patient record system. The Clinical Application Coordinator (CAC) will work with a team of CACs and health systems specialists, to provide healthcare program/project management for supporting legacy VistA and Cerner environments. You will also be working on a team of Clinical Application Coordinators (CACs) and other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) tasked with supporting the transition to the Cerner electronic health record (EHR) at VA Medical Centers (VAMCs). This support will include organizational change management, support of Initial Operating Capability (IOC), VistA/Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) transitional operations, and assistance to local medical centers that have limited clinical informatics resources to support EHR modernization (EHRM) implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting CPRS activities for VA Medical Centers
- CPRS Consult clean up
- CPRS Notes clean up
- Prepare weekly reports and maintain records of activities of work accomplishments
- Patient Record Flag clean up
- Serve as a coach and facilitator in coordinating Health Informatics Transition activities for VA Medical Centers
- CPRS Alert management
- Clinical Reminder installs
- CPRS Orders clean up
- Guiding VAMC staff on VistA clean up activities to support data migration to Cerner
Requirements
- Attention to detail
- Minimum of fifteen years’ experience working as a Clinical Application Coordinator on healthcare related projects within the VA
- Experience interfacing directly with clients
- Experience supporting health IT related projects
- Direct experience working with Veterans Health Affairs customers / healthcare providers
- Direct experience working with VistA/CPRS
- You value teamwork, demonstrate integrity and honesty, are passionate, innovative and strive for excellence
- Skilled in MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, SharePoint, reporting and analytics tools, and have the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
