Our Newest Opportunity:
Summary:
The Client Portfolio Manager is responsible for helping retirement and wealth advisors with all investment related matters, including providing guidance on asset allocation, portfolio construction and selection of investment strategies, models and alternative investments. The Client Portfolio Manager may also need to create custom investment program, as necessary, based on investment policy statements of the DB plans, and help with trading workflow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Wealth
  • Support customized portfolio construction for high/ultra-high net worth clients working with the advisor and the internal investment team
  • Coordinate development of client presentation materials and performance reports with team members
  • Act as a liaison between internal/external portfolio managers and advisors/clients
  • Prepare and participate in finals presentations to institutions such as endowments, foundations, and corporate plans
  • Act as subject matter expert for the OneDigital investment platform, which consists of model portfolios, SMAs, and alternative investments
  • Liaison with the investment team to provide client-ready deliverables and insights to advisors and clients
  • Conduct in-person and virtual investment-related discussions with advisors and clients
  • Manage and build relationships with advisors and prospects
  • Support business strategy and business development activity
  • Assist as needed with development of marketing materials, including presentation enhancements and quarterly mailers
  • Help advisors and prospects create and map investment portfolios on the OneDigital platform
Retirement
  • Review Asset-Liability Management (ALM) of DB plans and seek SME opinions wherever necessary
  • Help advisors with trading workflow, and place trade orders, if necessary, working with the trading and investment operations team
  • Help advisors prepare client presentations and review current economic environment, portfolio allocation and performance in client meetings, as necessary
  • Monitor performance of the custom investment programs with respect to the DB plans’ investment objectives. Recommend changes and prepare reports
  • Review the long-term Capital Market Assumptions (CMA) produced by OneDigital and review current economic and market environments to decide whether a short-term tactical policy is appropriate for DB plans that’s more responsive to changes in financial markets
  • Select the appropriate mix of fixed income from the managed sleeves for custom investment programs
  • Track performance of prefabricated investment models with respect to the DB plans’ investment objectives. Recommend changes and prepare reports
  • Manage and build relationships with advisors and Defined Benefit (DB) plan clients
  • Help advisors select prefabricated investment models that are in alignment with the IPS of the plans
  • Create custom investment program, as necessary and select equity investments from the “BUY” list based on the risk score
  • Review Investment Policy Statements (IPS) of DB plans, and develop a long-term strategic asset allocation plan working with the investment team that has the highest probability of meeting the plans goals at an acceptable level of risk
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Asset and Wealth Management
  • High level of organization, coordination, and project management skills
  • Strong cross-functional team building and management skills (for example, partnering with multiple distribution channels, marketing, product administration, legal and compliance)
  • Investment and markets background
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
  • MBA and/or a CFA designation highly desirable
  • Leadership traits to influence people
  • Strong understanding of multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, real-estate and alternative investments
  • Strong attention to details
  • Experience working with advisors and/or institutional separate accounts, ETFs, commingled funds, and mutual funds
