Job Description

Calibrate is partnering with Fish & Richardson, a premier global intellectual property firm, to recruit their next Chief Legal Talent & Inclusion Officer (CLTIO). The firm is comprised of over 400 lawyers, technology specialists and patent agents across 14 offices throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. Fish promotes a creative, respectful, and inclusive culture that values the diversity of people, experiences, perspectives, talents, and capabilities. The CLTIO will report to the firm’s Chief Operating Officer and work closely with the firm’s management committee, president/CEO, practice group leaders, and other firm management responsible for the firm’s strategy. The CLTIO will collaborate closely with firm leadership and play a critical role in building and driving the firm’s talent strategies and programs to support a high-performing culture at the firm.


The CLTIO is accountable for leading four functions: Legal Recruiting, Professional Development, Pro Bono/Social Responsibility, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI). They will serve as a proactive change agent by providing vision, leadership, and strategic thinking as well as tactical implementation.


On behalf of Fish, Calibrate is seeking candidates whose areas of expertise closely align with key strategic priorities that include:

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree is highly desired. Candidates will have at least 10 years of relevant experience within a large professional services organization, preferably a law firm, with at least 8 years of experience managing a team in a related field. The CLTIO will be a leader with gravitas who can inspire confidence and earn trust quickly. While this position may be located in any of the firm’s US-based office locations [Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Boston, MA; Dallas, TX; Wilmington, DE; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis, MN; New York, NY; San Diego, CA; Redwood City, CA; or Washington DC], remote locations in the US will be given consideration for exceptionally qualified candidates. The selected candidate will also be expected to travel to the firm’s offices and events, as necessary, to perform the duties of the position.
