SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Chief Growth Officer (CGO) is responsible for supporting Gotham FQHC by overseeing the integration of growth strategies. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CGO is responsible for the organization’s business development strategy, marketing, community outreach, provider templates, referrals, grants, new business, EPIC and data teams.
The CGO will work across departments such as Marketing, Communications, IT, Patient Relations, Office of the Chief Operating Officer and Finance to forge a robust plan to expand Gotham Health’s brand to New York’s diverse urban communities, in addition, to increasing Gotham’s revenue.
The CGO is an experienced strategic and visionary leader that takes initiative, has the stamina, emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills to operate strategically and effectively oversee the tactics in order to help drive and achieve differentiating business results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure strategies are well communicated and translated into actionable and quantitative plans for entities and work units/functions.
- Strategize complex organizational structures.
- Team with Chief Information Officer to remain at front end of new healthcare technology efforts.
- Strategize complex organizational structures.
- Partners with Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer to ensure funding and resources are available to execute initiatives.
- Identify important capital projects, joint ventures, and other strategic partnership opportunities.
- Align with CEO to lead business developments, strategic planning, organizational planning and transformation.
- Collaborate with the CFO to develop a capital plan in line with the organization's strategy.
- Collaborate with CEO and Board to ensure strategic plans and goals align with organizational priorities and monitor/measure performance.
- Identify and convey strategic risks to CEO, Board, and other senior leadership.
- Identify government grants that would assist in Gotham’s strategic growth.
- Develop a comprehensive, inclusive strategic plan and growth strategy by collaborating with the CEO, senior leadership, and board of directors.
- Performs other duties are requested by the CEO
- Serve as a key contributor/resource to the budget development and monitoring processes.
- Identify specific metrics and key performance indicators to measure performance and growth progress (customer feedback, customer engagement, financial performance, value-based payment models, use of digital technology)
- Communicate / market strategy across departments and organization.
- Work with front line managers to anticipate trends and convene across disciplines and departments to brainstorm opportunities for innovation.
- Oversee the execution of business initiatives.
- Generate policies and protocols.
- Create relationships with community partners to focus on what works and/or what is needed most in NYC’s community, as well testing new care delivery models.
- Develop a partnership portfolio of internal departments, external NYC agencies, and outside approved vendors to achieve long-term innovative goals and best practices.
- Study market dynamics: customer/patient feedback (Press Ganey scores / surveys / social media), clinician feedback, and research customer trends for new pathways to growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Hospital Health Care, Medical Administration or a related program; and,
2. Six years of full-time, paid experience in high-level responsible business administration, human resources administration, public administration or an equivalent field, or as an Assistant Hospital Administrator in a position of direct responsibility for total operations or major parts thereof in a hospital setting including substantial exposure in meeting community needs; or,
3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, experience and training; and,
4. Extensive working knowledge of hospital administration, medical procedures, laws and regulations pertaining to hospital operations with special reference to accreditation procedures.

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:
Bachelor’s in Business or health-related field (required); or Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Hospital Administration, or related field (preferred)

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
- 6+ years of leadership experience. Successful past experience managing complex change initiatives in a health-care environment required. Comfort with working in a collaborative building environment.
