NBCUniversal is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our Studio Services team in Universal City, California! In this role, you will be responsible for acting as a liaison between the business community and IT team. You will work to track changes, clarify issues and risks the business may have, and manage user acceptance testing system changes.


In this position you will develop models using disparate data sets to support Studio Operations optimization of various key factors from order-to-invoice, transportation and utilization, to forecasting to support our long-term planning cycle. You will support cross functional teams with metrics and visualizations to enable scale in operations. You must have strong experience using a variety of data mining and data analysis methods and tools. You must also have experience building and implementing models and running scenario analysis to support current and future business needs.


What You’ll Do


  • Write/create reports, business correspondence, and documentation
  • Independently initiate, identify, research, investigate, analyze, define, and document process changes with the aim of increasing productivity and enhancing efficiency
  • Assist in planning, developing, and executing test plans for User Acceptance Testing
  • Generate insights and synthesize findings into simple concise updates to senior management leveraging data visualization
  • Own the process flow of data structure and determine areas of continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct continuous improvement projects, and communicate effectively with business users to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
  • Data management and analysis within a wide range of applications, centering on our core ERPs (RT Pro, Sphere, SAP, Schedule All, TransWorks)
  • Effectively articulate business needs and process analysis to IT technical resources for solution creation
  • Develop a deep understanding of systems and processes within Studio Operations, providing direction and training to colleagues within the day-to-day workspace
  • Proactively solve problems and/or suggest viable solutions while advancing goals and objectives
  • Incorporate data analysis to help identify trends and patterns in inventory movement across all business locations
  • Generate insights to operational performance, recommend solutions, and lead efforts to operationalize
  • Manage data requests, analyze results, and present findings to leadership
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all technology used in the department
  • Examine business data by identifying, cleaning, and validating data fidelity
  • Developing tools (reporting/dashboards) that deliver insights to stakeholders, automate workflows, and improve data accuracy

What You Must Have


  • Proven experience with RTPro, Schedule All, TransWorks, Sphere, or fast learner of new system applications
  • Experience in sprint planning, user requirements gathering and ticket prioritization
  • 3+ years of SQL and Tableau (experience with python or other programming a plus) OR 3+ years of experience in at least one data analytics tool is required: (ex: Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI)
  • Demonstrated computer operating skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, Power Automate, and virtual technologies such as Teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Applied Math, Statistics, Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain related field or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of related analyst and project experience (functional design and dashboarding) in an operations setting

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
