Business Management Lead (Hybrid - 3 Days In Office)

Our Impact:

Our team helps lead the work of the researchers, modelers and our model communities who use powerful, machine-learning methods to build the models that guide critical functions such as funding loans, valuation, and predicting default and loss severity. The models implemented in MEDA (Modeling, Econometrics, Data Science and Analytics) are the ‘heartbeat of Freddie.’ MEDA cleans, aggregates, and prepares large amounts of data used to develop models and policies that support the Single-Family divisions.

Your Impact:

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Supervise and report on progress, risk issues, benefits, and outcomes, etc.
• Build strong partnerships and liaise within the department and with other business areas and groups to provide needed support, information / data, and resolutions to an assortment of requests.

• Lead other business management team members and department members in change initiatives.
• Support the business management team in day-to-day operations, which may cover activities such as facilities management, space planning & moves, and process development & support.
• May also assist with performance & budget tracking, forecasting, and monitoring, as well as strategic business planning and organizational change initiatives.
• Provide resolutions to an assortment of issues, tasks, and problems.
• Acquire a thorough understanding of standards, procedures, processes, and requirements across the department.
• Support the identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring, mitigation, and reporting of operational risk of assigned business areas.

Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to establish strong relationships and work optimally across all levels and stakeholders towards a common vision or goal and deliver results.
• Prior experience in office operations in the financial services industry and mortgage industry preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
• 8-10 years related experience with 2+ years risks & controls experience.
• Strong eye for business with an understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
• College Degree or equivalent experience; sophisticated studies / degree preferred.
• Ability to work optimally with continuous change and short deadlines.
• Proactive thinker / problem solver and has the ability to think holistically and creatively.
• Sophisticated change management, process improvement, and project management skills.
• Experience with corporate standards, policies and procedures.
