Skills:

Analysis- possess strong analytical skills to understand complicated business problems, break them down into smaller components, and identify patterns and trends. They should be able to analyze data and make data-driven recommendations.

Critical thinking- objectively and systematically analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information to form reasoned judgments or decisions. Question assumptions, challenge biases, and seek evidence and logical reasoning to support conclusions.

Domain knowledge & business acumen-PharmaceuticalDomainExperience is Mandatory. Asolid understanding of the industry or domain in which the business operates. Great business analysts have a keen understanding of business strategy, financial concepts, and organizational dynamics. They can align their analysis and recommendations with the organization's goals, assess the impact of decisions on different business areas, and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Communication skills– actively listen to stakeholders, ask relevant questions, and convey information clearly and concisely. Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial for documenting requirements, presenting findings, and facilitating meetings.

Adaptability- analysts often work on projects that evolve over time. They need to be adaptable, embrace change, and continuously learn new skills and techniques. Staying updated with industry trends and advancements is essential for their professional growth.

Expectations

Delivery– you need to deliver something of value every week. You must honor your commitments and be proactive and transparent when you are going to miss a deadline. Missing deadlines should be rare.

Ownership– take pride in your work. Step up and over-deliver when it matters. Make sure you’re solving the right problems and viewing the bigger picture. Being an owner means that you’re thinking more deeply about something than anyone else.

Focus– this is two things – first, have the unwavering ability to ignore everything besides the thing you’re working on. The second is that you need to be able to dig deep into the details of things, to get beyond the surface level (which is only possible when you focus deeply).

Curious & Creative- have an unquenchable thirst to understand things deeply, how they work, why things are the way they are, etc. Look for novel approaches and new ways of accomplishing things.

  • Growth- Be responsible for your own development, whether it’s finding a mentor, reading something new, or taking on a challenge outside your comfort zone. You need to own your own professional and personal development.
