Program Manager for Pharma/Biotech

Cambridge, MA

Pay Rate: $80-$84/hr

6 month assignment

Our leading pharmaceutical client is looking for a Program Manager to lead the program team in building and tracking a global project plan across all functional areas. We are specifically looking for candidates with experience in Pharma/Biotech with direct experience with clinical-stage program management.


Job Duties:

  • Establish best practice for program management across the company
  • Lead the program team
  • Identify issues and opportunities, with tangible action plans in the short and long term
  • Build and track a global project plan across all functional areas
  • Review and support resources allocation in collaboration with functional areas
  • Ensure financial implications are fully understood, communicated, and implemented
  • Provide regular status update and actionable recommendations to Senior Management
  • Analyze critical path, and drive plan implementation within established timeline
  • Keep track of program total cost, coordinate resources planning
  • Effectively interact with all functional areas to meet deadlines and achieve key milestones
  • Oversee implementation of approved action plans across functions
  • Develop skills of program team members to enhance their performance as team participants


Requirements:

  • Track-record of achievement in leading cross-functional teams and product development
  • Prior experience with Phase 3 and regulatory filings required
  • Experience with the full value chain, from manufacturing to clinical and regulatory, supporting a multi-countries large scale phase 3 program, with multiple studies running in parallel
  • Managing and motivating team to ensure appropriate expertise and focus on the critical development projects from clinical to manufacturing/process development
  • BS/BA, MSc/MBA a plus
  • Experience in Pharma/Biotech with direct experience with clinical – stage program management
  • At ease in small biotech organizations, with ability to operate at strategic and detailed levels
  • Good understanding of manufacturing and process development
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence across functions without formal authority
  • Strong understanding and competency in project planning, including software's and tools
