Business Analyst - Covenant Children's Hospital

Description

Participates in the business functions of the OR. These functions are inclusive but not limited to, charge entry, charge reconciliation, data integrity, OR data management and the process around them. Develop appropriate audits and reports to ensure data integrity and continuity of charge capture. This role provides knowledge discovery and presentation of information to educate and inform and allow for better decision making and trend analysis. Compiles and maintains statistical reports for all areas of Perioperative Services to support decision making in financial analysis and cost management, utilization, charge capture and revenue, and material utilization management. Identify data integrity issues across clinical systems and proactively communicate and resolve when feasible. Acts as an engaged member of the perioperative team offering expertise and support to foster teamwork and facilitate success. Serves as a consultant, educator, and evaluator to improve system services in the department. In addition this position assists the director with the day to day coordination of business services and operational functions of the department including but not limited to: supervising the clerical support staff, and performing a variety of administrative support and special projects. Apply knowledge of performance improvement concepts/LEAN concepts as part of surgical and clinical outcomes to guide change.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with data analysis and reporting
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (concentration in Healthcare, Marketing, or Finance preferred) or equivalent education/experience
• Coursework/Training: Training in various software applications.
• 5 years Healthcare Experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Information Systems related to Surgery.
• Project Management experience.
