Blackstone Credit is one of the world’s largest credit-focused asset managers, with $246 billion in AUM. We seek to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns for our clients by investing across the entire corporate credit market, from public debt to private loans. Our capital supports a wide range of companies across sectors and geographies, enabling businesses to expand, invest, and navigate changing market environments.

Blackstone Credit – Associate

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide private capital solutions that would otherwise be unavailable in the public markets and investing in event-driven or other special situations opportunities through the public markets.
• Provide private capital to upper middle market companies and private equity sponsors in connection with leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, growth financings and other corporate transactions.
• Invest across all industries up and down the capital structure - senior debt through structured equity - and deploys capital in all market environments.
• Allocate capital and resources to the most relevant market opportunity: while the majority of 2020 focused resources on distressed situations, the current environment has resulted in an allocation towards performing credit strategies.
• Work across both performing and distressed credit strategies through funds that collectively manage $82bn in assets.
• Participate in all aspects of the investment process from origination to execution.

Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field

Experience

• 3 years of experience in job offered or related occupations
• Experience can be concurrent.
• 3 years of experience using Microsoft Excel to build detailed financial models, valuation models, and cash flow pro formas
• 3 years of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative investment analysis including core financial analysis and diligence on asset cash flows, valuations, and capital structures
• 1 year of experience using financial tools such as Bloomberg, Reorg, Debtwire, etc. to produce analytics and research.
• 2 years of experience in asset management of large portfolios of alternative investments and perform bespoke credit and sensitivity analyses.
• 3 years of experience using Microsoft PowerPoint to develop internal and external presentation materials.
• 1 year of experience underwriting, conducting business due diligence, and closing financial transactions;

Expected annual base salary range:

$115,000 - $170,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
