Position: Lecturer: Temporary faculty positions with the possibility of renewal for additional semesters.
Starting Date: On-going. Positions will be filled as needed for each academic semester.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must have an appropriate degree from an accredited university (bachelor’s degree and substantial teaching experience for lower division courses; master’s degree for upper division undergraduate courses; doctoral degree, or master’s degree and substantial teaching experience for graduate courses). Demonstrated excellence in teaching at a college level. Applicants should have the ability to relate well to others within the academic environment, and demonstrate ability and/or interest in working in a multiethnic, multicultural environment.
The successful candidate will be expected to join faculty, staff, students, and administrators in our University’s shared commitment to the principles of engagement, service, and the public good.
Preferred Qualifications:
Registered Dietitian; Doctoral Candidate or Post-Doc. MS/PhD in Nutritional Science, Food Science or related areas. Experience in the field of food science, nutrition, and dietetics.
Duties:
Faculty will teach courses, complete other course related tasks and be available for office hours.
Salary:
The salary schedule information for the faculty lecturer: Academic Year-month Classification is available based on the following ranges: (per salary schedule 7/1/2022)
Lecturer A/2 Full-time equivalent Salary Range: $4,530 - $6,056
Lecturer B/3 Full-time equivalent Salary Range: $5,405 - $11,994
Lecturer C/4 Full-time equivalent Salary Range: $6,190 - $13,172
Lecturer D/5 Full-time equivalent Salary Range: $7,794 - $13,797
The anticipated monthly hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank.
