Department Overview

• Develop & execute on TDS Trader Tools Strategy aligned with front office users in Fixed Income and FX businesses. Develop with a view of further trading desk migration to strategic trader tools. Focus areas include:

• Establish best in class platform resilience aligned with industry standards.
• Lead the development, and partner with Risk and Data technology teams, to achieve a simplification and speed of technology capabilities
• Manage overall budget, revenue and expenditures, meet business objectives while increasing efficiency and effectiveness
• Provide counsel and guidance on technical, financial, and analytical expertise to team and business partners
• Plan, develop roadmap and execute on strategic activities, review and communicate results, and adjust tactics accordingly
• Work closely with Production Engineering team to establish a viable support model including measures and monitoring capabilities.
• Proactively identify key business opportunities, research and recommend enhancements / modifications and keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements
• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with business line management and senior leaders; present and validate results and justify or remediate any observed anomalies

Qualifications

• Ability to work with front office and risk management to prototype new risk management capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong knowledge of capital market products and trade desk environments
• Degree educated or higher from a leading academic institution
• 10+ years' experience within a financial markets context
• Solid understanding of financial derivatives and their trading, pricing and risk management
• Technical background in one or more major programming language (C++, C#, Java, Python etc.)
