What you'll need to succeed:
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
- Strong knowledge of project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience leading co-located, multi-discipline, and virtual teams
- Experience using waterfall, agile and hybrid methodologies
- Experience working with Smartsheet a plus
- Experience in managing and developing junior Project Managers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing multiple project life cycles simultaneously from inception to final delivery
- Positive outlook and a tenacity for being resourceful
- 6+ years of relevant experience: agency, consulting, or creative experience a plus
- Experience working in a Media driven environment
Responsibilities
A week in the life of an Associate Director, PMO:
The Associate Director of Project Management will oversee and manage mid to large-scale client engagements, be responsible for project-level executional excellence, as well as the implementation of and adherence to OMG PMO work standards and processes. They will partner and collaborate with every discipline, have the opportunity to create templates and process, and help steer their team(s) to consistent and successful project deliveries. They will support the Director of Project Management and Client Business Lead(s) in strategic account and PMO matters as requested and may lead a small team.
Project Delivery & Efficacy
- Coordinate and run internal meetings
- Contribute to client meetings as required
- Oversee, structure, and manage multi-faceted campaign and portfolio level timelines, acting as a point of contact and escalation for both internal and external parties
- Ensure appropriate collection, management, storage, and distribution of project details and information
- Track ongoing client ad hoc requests
- Lead client discussions on project plans to ensure stakeholder understanding of project flow and due dates needed to meet end goals
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks, escalating as appropriate
Process & Work Standards
- Maintain a mastery of OMG processes to manage the timely completion of projects
- Manage and oversee team collaboration tools, ie MS Teams, SmartSheets, SharePoint sites, etc.
- Maintain project and account initiatives through monitoring of all project tasks and deliverables
- Support internal creative asset review, quality assurance, and trafficking processes
- Implement, manage, and oversee process adoption
- Support and manage operational processes and adjustments that impact the campaign end-to-end
- Assist with operational onboarding of new campaigns and/or resources onto the team
- Assist with updating onboarding materials
PMO Development & Management
- Mentor and coach junior project management team members
- Assist in managing client satisfaction and identifying any issues or barriers, escalating as necessary
- Develop relationships with, and ensure the appropriate participation of key client and internal stakeholders
- Partner with Client Service senior leadership and Resource Management to outline and discuss resourcing needs
- Implement and maintain PMO best practices, identifying opportunities for enhancement
- Proactively identify opportunities to adjust processes for efficiencies.
- Partner with Client Service leadership to help set expectations with clients, ensure defined expectations are documented and disseminated to the broader team
- Contribute to ongoing scope management, in partnership with Client Service leadership
- Provide purpose, direction and motivation to team members
Compensation Range: $70,000 - $125,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
