We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager/Operations Manager to join our team and contribute to the successful execution of projects while optimizing operational efficiency.
Summary of position:
As a Project Manager/Operations Manager at Health Outlook, you will play a critical role in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects, while also managing the day-to-day operations of the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while also implementing strategies to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead project planning, scope definition, and resource allocation for multiple projects simultaneously within the clinical, product, and R&D environments.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively implement solutions to address issues.
- Foster effective communication among project teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and action plans.
Operations Management:
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and a commitment to excellence.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth functioning across departments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing streamlined processes.
- Collaborate with department heads to set operational goals, track performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement.
- Optimize resource allocation, including staffing, equipment, and budget, to maximize operational efficiency.
- Implement and maintain effective systems for inventory management, procurement, and supply chain optimization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with various teams, including clinical lab, product development, marketing, finance, and sales, to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
- Drive cross-functional projects to improve overall business processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Help lead product development projects/programs.
- Act as a bridge between departments, facilitating effective communication and information sharing.
Direct Report Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of 2 direct reports, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Foster professional development and growth opportunities for direct reports through regular feedback and training.
- Set clear expectations and goals for team members, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Collaborate with HR for recruitment, onboarding, and talent development initiatives within your team.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation among your direct reports.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects from initiation to completion.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to foster effective collaboration.
- Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision as well as part of a team.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in project management and operations management roles, preferably in healthcare, hospital, clinical, pharma or medical diagnostics industries.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Clinical fields of Biology or Chemistry, or other relatable field; PMP certification required; MBA is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
