The Senior Manager, Project Management will be responsible for managing and coordinating all activities leading to the successful completion of organizational projects/activities for Alchemee (previously The Proactiv Company). This position will work closely with the Marketing Lead and Business Leads to translate project requirements into actionable plans within all departments of the organization, including documenting all aspects of a project as well as scoping, budgeting, and resourcing.
The ideal candidate is an active listener with strong interpersonal communication skills as well as a natural collaborator who can ask and give feedback to both business owners, and internal and external stakeholders. This person has a passion for bringing best practices into the business while actively sharing business perspectives, knowledge and lessons learned to contribute and support a best-in-class global standard.
Essential Functions
- Utilize effective change management best practices.
- Develops project plans which identify key issues, approaches, performance metrics and resources required.
- Meet or exceed established PMO metrics including but not limited to, requirement documentation, assigned project reporting/deliverables, and customer satisfaction reporting, ROI.
- Manage various technology platforms and vendor relationship.
- Responsible for evaluating and tracking project performance, while identifying and solving for any potential risk or blocker.
- Identify risks and communicate them effectively to stakeholders and team at-large.
- Drive budget decision making and escalate to compete deliverables on time and on budget.
- Assist in measuring customer or stakeholder satisfaction during and after implementations.
- Provide quality documentation of overall project actions/status.
- Ensure competition of both department and organizational wide projects. This will require direct work with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve customer issues that threaten the success of the project both internally and at the customer site. Candidate must show the ability to manage customer issues in a proactive manner and provide customer-focused solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Collaborate with Design, Development, QA, Brand, Marketing, Legal, Supply Chain, Inventory, and Operation teams to carry out various organizational projects.
- Read, write, interpret, and explain technical or complex information.
- Additional duties as required.
- Clearly define and document business stakeholder requirements.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to meet deadlines in fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and keep track of details.
- Proficient in use of project management and documentation tools.
- 3+ year managing a team of Project managers
- Working knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Zincmaps, and Smartsheets.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, required.
- Three or more years’ experience working with the Agile Methodology; SCRUM master certification or PMP, a plus.
- Seven or more years as a Project Manager supporting software teams / projects in a comparable industry (e.g. subscription ecommerce).
- Ability to lead a meeting and drive team members toward a schedule.
- Knowledge of Direct Response Marketing principles, consumer behavior.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
