The Associate Director of Marketing provides brand management through web content creation/regular updates, digital communications, and advertising. They are responsible for ensuring ADA compliance for SUNY Polytechnic Institute's website and advancing organizational goals by engaging and informing the SUNY Poly community across both campuses.

• Responsible for the university brand guide, development, and maintenance of university-wide marketing strategies and standards, and using industry-recognized measurement techniques to quantify the effectiveness of SUNY Poly's marketing and promotional efforts and implement improvements as required.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned.
• Lead strategic marketing communications at SUNY Poly through print and online resources, often in collaboration with the Enrollment Marketing Manager. Responsible for the conception, coordination, and deployment of University-wide marketing materials, including all strategic marketing support for on-site events and activities designed to promote SUNY Poly's vision and mission.
• Lead SUNY Poly's online website presence, including sunypoly.edu and related external websites. This role works directly with faculty and staff to ensure that all web content remains updated, and, in partnership with the web architect, ensures proper function of the website, ease of navigation, and an improved user experience. In addition to creating new, highly targeted webpages when needed and decommissioning outdated information/webpages/images as required, this position is responsible for ensuring website compatibility for mobile devices, ADA compliance across SUNY Poly's website and online presence, and for updating event information and communicating related engagements via email campaigns, including via dissemination of a daily email mailer.
• With the Director of University Marketing & Communications, develop and execute communication plans to help meet SUNY Poly's goals and creatively communicate with SUNY Poly students, faculty, and staff.
• Formulate and execute critical presentations (i.e. PowerPoint) and communications as necessary. Maintain and oversee a compilation of all SUNY Poly publications.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or related field from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Dept. of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting institution.
• Demonstrated ability to be effective working within both large, multifaceted organizations, and entrepreneurial environments.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to demonstrate written communication in examples
• This position will be primarily based at SUNY Poly's Utica campus with travel between campuses expected.
• Strong creative writing abilities, and the ability to write clear and concise text for use across multiple media and marketing platforms, including print, online, digital, and video.
• A minimum of five years of experience in marketing, public relations, journalism, television production, online media, or related field.
• Applicants must address in their applications their abilities to work with a culturally diverse population. This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual checks.
• Knowledge of HTML and Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage web content in Drupal and WordPress.
